Born and raised in San Diego, CA, Kelsey received a full-ride scholarship to Davidson College in North Carolina where she trained with the world-renowned Royal Shakespeare Co., graduated summa cum laude, as well as began her work in film, improv, sketch, and comedy.
After college, she moved to NYC; acting in plays Off-Broadway, training with Upright Citizens Brigade, and working extensively with CollegeHumor. After quickly discovering her love of film, she made her move to Los Angeles.
Since moving to LA, Kelsey has worked both as an actress and a writer. She has appeared on TV hits like Modern Family, New Girl, and Days of Our Lives, as well as starring in multiple sketches, shorts and features. Last year, she was selected one of 14 actors from almost 7,000 applicants for last year's ABC Discovers Actor Talent Showcase!
Most recently, Kelsey originated the recurring role of 'Ashley', a young woman with Cystic Fibrosis on the upcoming season 2 of AwesomenessTV's EMMY WINNING Young Adult series 'Zac & Mia'.
In addition to acting, Kelsey has worked steadily as a writer in many capacities... she has written screenplays with Oscar winners, completed and pitched her own pilot(s) to major TV networks and production companies, and assisted on multiple independent film projects.
After working as a full-time staff writer for top Women's lifestyle site BeMakeful.com, Kelsey took the skills she learned there and used to them to create her own freelance copywriting and online branding business. She writes the blog "Tea Time" as a free service helping "normal" people navigate the many (annoying, overwhelming) facets of social media!
