I have always loved to create. From generating engaging online content for a diverse multitude of sites, to writing and art directing for a major Women’s Lifestyle brand, to pitching clients at a top PR recruitment agency, to copywriting and editing...
Creating and framing content, especially with a female gaze,
has always been an important part of my life and career path.
My love for creating content has given me a wide professional background in a variety of subjects. I started my career as an actress, acting in everything from Shakespeare in the UK, to Off-Broadway in NYC, to TV shows like 'Modern Family' and 'New Girl' here in LA. My experience acting allowed me to see and feel what kinds of stories and storytelling devices audiences really connect with.
I took those skills and branched into writing professionally; I have written screenplays with Oscar winners, I'm YouTube certified in audience growth, and I'm no stranger to SEO and fast turnaround times for blog-style articles and listicles after being a full time staff writer for a leading Women's Lifestyle site!
Personally, I'm a bookworm with an insatiable appetite for content. When I'm not working on my own novel and/or screenplays, you can usually find me with my nose in a book (probably YA, Historical Fiction, or Fantasy), taking pretty pictures for my instagram @kelsey.writes, or binge-watching British mysteries on Netflix.
After a lifetime of telling stories, my specialty is getting to the core of the message with a friendly wink!
